Hi Pythoneers,

I did a fresh install of debian linux on my system. It runs python2.1 out
of the box. Installing python2.3 has caused a problem with Tkinter.

latest$ python2.1
Python 2.1.3 (#1, Sep  7 2002, 15:29:56)
[GCC 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)] on linux2
Type "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import Tkinter
>>>
latest$ python2.3
Python 2.3.3 (#1, Dec 31 2003, 18:22:50)
[GCC 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import Tkinter
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
  File "/usr/local/lib/python2.3/lib-tk/Tkinter.py", line 38, in ?
    import _tkinter # If this fails your Python may not be configured for
Tk
ImportError: No module named _tkinter
>>>

Am I missing some header files? I am new to apt-get so have just guessed
at names like this
# apt-get install python-tk

Thanks.
