[FRPythoneers] getting pydoc

I have just discovered the wonders of pydoc.py and added it to my 'PATH'
system variable (why isn't this set by default?). Is there any way to
make it look in the current directory for the file you pass it?
Especially if that file is not in 'PYTHONPATH'.

Ie. I am in the c:\some\dir\not\in\PYTHONPATH.
pydoc.py file.py ** Doesn't work
pydoc.py c:\some\dir\not\in\PYTHONPATH\file.py	** Does work

BTW: I am using ActivePython 2.2.2
