[OCF] Event Notification API

Hi folks,
I'm looking around for a nice event notification api,
and I couldn't help but notice
http://www.opencf.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/specs/event/Event.api?rev=1.4
and the sample implementation of the 0.3 version of the spec at
http://developer.osdl.org/dev/osdlclusters/
and
http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/osdlcluster/osdlcluster_20020819.tgz

I have a number of comments on the proposed API
(e.g. "why the heck do you need oc_ev_event_done()?").

Is this API is seeing any interest, or are people using something else?
Doesn't look like it made it into
http://www.osdl.org/docs/carrier_grade_linux_requirements_definition___version_20.pdf
It touches on event notification in two sections:
CCM.1.5 seems to talk about AEM and TIPC,
and the deferred CSV.ev talks about AEM.

The OCF event specification is at revision 1.4 and is in the opencf cvs
repository. Check out

http://www.opencf.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/specs/event/Event.api?rev=1.4

The last changes to this document were in June, 2003. A sample
implementation of the specification was done as the spec was being
developed and can be found at

http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/osdlcluster/osdlcluster_20020819.tgz

I have not seen other implementations of this spec, but that does not
mean they do not exist.

There is some momentum in the linux-ha development community as well as
at OSDL with an open implementation of the SA Forum Event Service API.
The SA Forum AIS interfaces are gaining community acceptance.

Alan or Lars may be able to shed more light on the OCF specifications.
