AFAICS nothing has happened yet. I just checked, because I was looking
for the RA-API. Of course I found it in my mailinglist archive, but
anyone not subscribed would just not find it at all.

If the webmaster is too busy to setup viewcvs or whatever I would
propose just adding a page with basic information about how to get the
data from cvs.

Alternatively you could delegate it to a new webmaster of course. I
could probably take care of it if needed.
