[LinuxFailSafe] A newbie question.

Hello, I am newbie in clusters technologies, and I have to install a cluster  
wich provides as high availability. I am searching in the web and i found 
many projects relationated with HA in linux, but I am not sure what is the 
best solution for me.
In principle, I only want that the software provides me an hangchecker timer, 
virtual ip that change if the node falls, a file system that control the 
concurrency and control an oracle database.

What is the best solution for this? Which are the advantages and the 
disadvantages for use failsafe? Which are the differents between failsafe and 
LVS+heartbeat+ldirector?
