[LinuxFailSafe] Newbie question

Hi,

    I just got the new responsability of the application this Monday
when i discover that the application is making a fail-over at almost
each night. With investigation the conclusion was when our script
who make the apache log rotation restart the application detect the
restart and make a fail-over. Oh! we have apache/web ressource
defined.

    Is there a variable i can set that failsafe take much time to detect
this application failure, like a retry or a delay time before the failure
is declaired.
