[Linux-HA] NFS causing problems

It's normal that df hangs if your NFS mount has no intr option
set.

Do you have that NFS disk as a Filesystem resource? The
Filesystem RA really does everything possible to unmount a disk.
If that fails, then nothing helps but machine reboot. Which you
get by default for a failed stop operation.
