[Linux-HA] Restricting broadcasts

I have two machines that each only have a single NIC. The
heartbeat packets go over the "normal" LAN. It all works fine.
However, it would be nice if the broadcast of the hearbeat
packets didn't go to the entire subnet.

If I were to have my machines as:

 		10.0.1.1	ha1
 		10.0.1.2	ha2

 		10.0.1.201	other1
 		10.0.1.202	other2
 		...
 		10.0.1.254	router

Could I use a netmask of 255.255.255.252 in haresources to
restrict the hearbeat broadcast packets just to the ha[12]
 	hosts?

If not, any other way to get what I want? Thanks.
