Actually I let Firewire and usbnet configured as DRBD connection. 
Heartbeat and DRBD seem stable enough to let my cluster alone this weekend.

IMHO having eth1394, usbnet or USB/serial as a secondary heartbeat would 
be better than using only one heartbeat. Except filling the logs nothing 
dramatically should happen.
