Heartbeat Issues

I installed Heartbeat ver 0.4.9e a few days back, i
had some problems with that, listed below.

I compiled the source code and did the installation,
but after installation i found that all the files as
mentioned have been installed, but i was unable to
locate the ha.cf, haresources and authkey files in the
proper directories. Wonder if i have to put them in
manually?

Then, thinking that i did a mistake in compilation adn
installation i tried to install using the rpm, The
process followed and the encountered results:

.. rpm -ivh heartbeat-0.4.9e-1.i386.rpm
Failed Dependencies:
         libpils.so.o    needed
         libstonith.so.o needed

.. rpm -ivh heartbeat-pils-0.4.9e-.i386.rpm
.. rpm -ivh heartbeat-stonith-0.4.9e-1.i386.rpm
Failed Dependencies:
         libcrypto

I think its a very crazy situation and probably some
stupid error on my part.

Can someone please point out where i am going wrong.
