uname and IPs

Hi,

Question, can the heartbeat use an ip instead the name returned from =
"uname -n"? Are there issues with this?

Also what HA ramafications are there if the master and server have the =
same hostname? The Linux servers are running our own code that doesn't =
use hostnames and ftp - so there is no DNS required for our stuff. I =
know this isn't a networking list, so if this was inappropriate, a kind =
nudge to another list or FAQ would be kindly appreciated.=20
