Heartbeats failure [rc=1]

Check for errors in /var/log/messages. Heartbeat is good about telling you
why it is not able to start when it is not configured properly.
Did you configure the /etc/ha.d/haresources, /etc/ha.d/ha.cf and
/etc/ha.d/authkeys files?
