The code is entirely trivial. We could just copy & paste it, even. (I'd
also think that the code is much shorter, there's a lot of copyright
headers etc duplicated.)
I mean, I also got no problem with linking to it, but writing _wrappers_
to support several UUID libraries in the backend is just silly, the
wrappers are going to be just as long ;-)
