I've had a quick look at this and it looks good. I think that packaging
heatbeat for debian is a very good idea but at the same time breaking SuSE
and/or RedHat compatibility is bad.
To this end I think that rather than patching the init script
(heartbeat.sh) beyond recognition is bad. I don't believe that the init
script in your tree has a hope in hell of working wiht SuSE or Red Hat.
Please either supply a separate init script or a script that is able to run
on all SuSE, RedHat and Debian.
I notice that your tree incuded a manual page. This is excellent. I think
it would be even better if the man page talked about the general operation
of heartbeat and was moved out of /debian/ into the main tree.
In any case I'm happy to test your debian packages and merge this into the
CVS tree if the issues above can be addressed.
