CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR CHILDREN’S HEALTH PROGRAM

WHAT: Rally, speakers, and candlelight vigil

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 16, 5 - 7 PM, speakers start at 6 PM

WHERE: Old Town Square, Ft. Collins

WHY: Demand that Rep. Musgrave vote to override Bush’s heartless veto and
support Colorado’s kids!

Last week President Bush vetoed the reauthorization of the State Children’s
Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). The veto jeopardizes vital services that
ensure that low-income kids receive the immunizations, regular check-ups and
dental care they depend on to stay healthy. On Oct. 18, Congress will vote
to override the veto so millions of kids, over 120,000 here in Colorado, can
get the health care they need.

Congresswoman Musgrave MUST change her vote and support the override of the
veto in order to ensure the health and safety of our children.

Join Colorado Progressive Action and other organizations for a candlelight
vigil and rally to urge Rep. Musgrave to do the right thing. Bring your
signs, your families, and we’ll provide the candles.
