Dear Peter,

There has been a misunderstanding here I think.

Everything has compiled from 3 emails ago. :-)

(Well, actually - from since before I posted my first post asking how to
get the compiled module to actually install in the kernel without
faulting.)

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you with the "same thing" message.

When I sent that long email re: the fixes I made it was as a result of
my email of yesterday where I had said that I would dump the compile
sequence and the fixes I had applied to get it to compile. I noted there
that I had managed to get it to compile quite successfully already.

This is what I did before I posted.

I then, did what you later suggested, and changed the include as well.

When I said "same thing" I meant, I has, as before, managed with that
change also to get it to compile, but, that, when I tried the modprobe,
it indeed failed to install the module in the kernel as before.

Does that clarify?

Kind regards

Derek.
